CALL FOR PAPERS

(28 February 2022)

Thematic issue on “Public History and Minority Narratives”  “We want, through the edition, to explore ethnic and other minority histories that have been silenced or marginalized by dominant historical discourses in a number of national contexts. We also want to explore processes through which counter-narratives and the contestation of memory have allowed these histories to re-emerge and be recovered through public history. We aim to publish contributions on ethnic minority histories (e.g. Irish Traveller histories) and marginalized histories (such as the working-class histories destituted through the neoliberal ‘restructuring’ of culture, economics and politics since 1979).”
NB : Public History Weekly is open peer reviewed,

Public History Weekly pieces are short (there are guidelines here: https://public-history-weekly.degruyter.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/PHW_Editorial_Guidelines_ENG.pdf). The journal is multi-lingual and the aim is always to publish articles in their authors’ first languages and also in English.
